Dialóg sochárov s architektami o premene verejného priestoru
Turčianska galéria v Martine už po štvrtý raz predstavila svoj sympoziálny projekt Socha v meste, ktorý síce vznikol na pôde odbornej inštitúcie, ale vo svojich ideových zámeroch od začiatku kalkuloval s odozvou vedenia mesta a najmä jeho obyvateľov. Ide o iniciatívu galérie výtvarne reflektovať architektonicko-urbanistickú rekonštrukciu pešej zóny, postupne aj sídliskových častí, ideálne tak, že sa vybrané návrhy dočkajú realizácie a umiestnenia priamo vo verejnom priestore mesta. Samotnému procesu tvorby umeleckého artefaktu – sochy, objektu predchádzalo diskusné fórum. Tento ročník sa niesol v znamení dialógu sochárov a architektov, potenciálnych tvorcov umelecky vnímanej premeny verejného priestoru. Výber autorov v aktuálnom obsadení predurčila teda téma sama. V sympoziálnom dueli sa stretli zástupcovia dvoch umeleckých profesií, ktorí by v ideálnych spoločenských podmienkach pri komplexe vnímanej premene mestského prostredia mali kooperovať, inšpirovať sa a vzájomne akceptovať. Z tejto premisy vychádzal aj martinský sympoziálny projekt Socha v meste s podtitulom Dialóg sochárov s architektami. Vznikli nielen výstupy „simulovaných náhľadov“, ktorými autori intervenovali do prostredia mesta. Sochári a architekti riešili interdisciplinárne prieniky tvorčieho procesu premeny mesta bez vopred vytýčených invektív a striktnej profesnej kategorizácie sochár – architekt. Sypozionálni autori reagovali na tzv. „biele mapy“ a sporné architektonicko-urbanistické reálie mesta, miestami s ironizujúcim podtextom, ale i potrebným nadhľadom.
It is already the fourth time that the Turiec Gallery in Martin presented its symposium project Sulpture in the City that indeed has its origins on the grounds of the mentioned specialised institution but in its ideological intension it calculated on the response of the city leaders and mainly of its population. It is the gallery´s initiative aiming to aristically respond to architectonic-urbanistic reconstruction of the pedestrian zone and progressively also the city’s housing estates; ideally in the way that the chosen designs will be materialized and the resulting works placed directly in the public areas or architecture in the city was preceded by a discussion symposium forum. This year was characterised by the dialogue of sculptures and architects, prospective creators of artistically viewed transformation of the public space. Selection of the symposiums authors in the current cast was predetermined by the subject itself. In the symposium duel there met representantives of two art professions, who should cooperate, draw inspiration from one another, and mutually accept one another if meeting under ideal social conditions and comprehensively perceiving metamorphosis of urban environment. Also the symposium project of the city of Martin Sculpture in the city with the subheading Dialogue of Sculpture with Architects was based on this premise. It was not only outputs of “simulated insights” that authors intervened with into the city´s environment including its housing estates, that were produced, but also the execution of a temporary sculpture in the city’s centre. Sculptures and architects dealt with interdisciplinary intersection if the creative process of the city alternation without predetermined invectives and strict profesional categorisation – a sculptor – an architect. Symposiums authors reacted to the so-called “white maps“ and disputable architectonic and urbanistic situation of the city, sometimes with ironising subtext but also with the necessary detached view.
